About the Course…

Our UK CAA Flight Instructor Rating course is designed for experienced pilots who aspire to share their passion for aviation through teaching. This comprehensive program equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary to instruct student pilots effectively.

  • Part 1: Teaching & Learning

        25 hours of teaching & learning.

       

  • Part 2: Technical Training

       100 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction, including progress tests.

  • Part 3: Flight Instruction

      30 hours of flight instruction, of which 25 hours shall be dual flight                      instruction, of which 5 hours may be conducted in an FFS, an FNPT I/II or           an FTD 2/3.

Whether you aim to obtain a private pilot license for recreational flying or desire a commercial pilot license for a career in aviation, our expert instructors will guide you through the necessary flight hours and theoretical knowledge required to achieve your goals.

Practical Training

There are 30 hours of flight instruction in total, of which 25 will be dual.

Ground School

The course includes 125 hours of theoretical study. You will be required to present pre-flight and post-flight briefings.

Solo Flying

Skills Test

You will take an assessment with an FIE.

Common Course Queries

A few common questions regarding this course…

You must have flown 200 hours, 150 of which as PIC.

The course will take between 8-12 weeks.

We operate a pay as you go system.

You will pay for each flight once it has been completed.

The only upfront fee is the annual membership (£180, subject to change)
